about the Ace Cafe Jomtien
An Ace in the Hole: One of the nicest blokes in
town, Martin the Elephant Man will be holding what he calls his '40
plus a lot more' birthday party at his establishment the Ace Cafe
on Saturday 17 December. The usual non-kosher item referred to as a
pig will be spinning on a spit and a European and Thai buffet will
be laid out. The affair will kick off in the late afternoon and
Martin says dress is optional. The Ace Cafe is on the Hanuman
statue corner in Jomtien, across the road from the Pattaya
Properties office. Baronbonk
Madame and I really did enjoy the food at the
Ace Cafe and we didn’t need a motorcycle to be made to be felt
welcome. It is a restaurant that sells beer, rather than a bar that
sells food, though at night at the weekends, this can be reversed.
Martin Smith was also quite forthright in saying, “We’re not a five
star restaurant. We’re a cafe.” With this in mind, you will get
well cooked, well presented food in large portions at very
reasonable prices. This is definitely somewhere to remember in
Jomtien. Highly recommended. PattayaMail
Ace in the Petrol Head Hole: For those of you
who enjoy watching vehicles with two and four wheels race against
each other around and around and around an asphalt track without
getting dizzy, one place you might like to consider spending a lazy
Sunday afternoon is the Ace Cafe in Jomtien (opposite the Hanuman
Statue). Martin, the Elephant Man, is mine host and offers
complimentary bar snacks and a variety of amber liquids, including
Old Speckled Hen, Newcastle Brown Ale, John Smith’s Smooth, and San
Miguel Light and Regular. PattayaToday
Also the Ace Cafe around the block from P.D. do
